Do they break the game early game? Should I wait till "later" to use them? I know the 1 million L is pretty explanatory, but what about the character classes unlocks? Can I unlock them thru standard gameplay instead? What about the chapters from the previous games?

All of the special content is activated when you choose it to be, and some of it is broken, yes

Thoose special content only unlock the extra characters and scenarios.

To get the special-special characters, some must do the scenarios.
Eg. If you want to have Valvatorez, you must do it's scenario. Which is, hmm, how do I put it? A little bit hard. Haha

The three DLC generic classes are not obtainable in any other way, only thorugh the DLC itself. They arent even good tbh.

As said above, the DLC scenarios are a bit hard at first, but you should be fine at like lv20ish, and the characters come at a low level (based off your story progression), so they wont 'break' your game.

If you had tried without them you'd see that even without them the early game is very, very easy. The game wont really get hard until post game, or at least the later worlds if you didnt level up your team accordingly.

I kind of regret activating every DLC at once, the game feels more like a visual novel now, without any difficulty
Is there a bank to store characters like in other disgaeas?

You can just go to the Recruiter NPC and delete them, and get them again later on by doing their special stages again.

They will come at a higher level (scales off story progression) and even higher weapon mastery.

The DLC characters do NOT break early progression, it's just they come with powerful equipment. Sell the equipment and they will perform at their level

lmao whatever these fanboy are smoking I want some, they DO comnpletly and utterly break the game, do not claim the DLC. I started over because this is just dumb, I'm one shotting everything, there's zero challenge, these DLC characters are utter garbarge in a sense that they completly remove all the challenges.
Its actually their weapons (which are special version of the originals even, having about 25% of the attack of the original weapon of the same name), not the characters. And you can just delete them.

You know, you're not forced to use them even after having collected them...

They do, but you will rapidly unlock the Strategic Assembly which, in turn, will let you unlock the Cheat Shop.

The cheat shop lets you increase the levels of enemies substantially - which quickly makes the game quite a bit more challenging regardless of your characters.

It hits around chapter 2-3, IIRC.

Hopefully this helps. :3

The Tri-Angels teamup attack that steals from everybody on the map at once; surely breaks the game lol.

Yup, can confirm. Just take let's say Laharl's sword and equip it on basic lvl 1 fighter. Now fighter hits a lot and can kill lvl 10 enemy easily (if you don't miss lul)

Nisa, Girl Laharl, and Metalia all have a special weapon with them that's extremely powerful. If you want to use them early game would reccommend you remove their mainhand weapons so they don't one-shot everything

unlock it all, and complete the story whenever. Metallia can be your best friend from start to finish... Nisa will be amazing if you play to spend thousands of hours on the game, etc.
