Just curious how you came to that conclusion? Most games with chapters have like... what, 5? How do you relate length to a chapter?
What? there isnt a single disgaea game that takes 40 hours to get through the story, not even close and disgaea 5 even more so. if you skip cutscenes you can complete the game in a little under 2 hours from a fresh new game start. Hell within 40 hours you can have all trophys, many soft capped traps and defeat carnage baal on 20 stars while still watching all the cutscenes.
Sure its easy to spend more than 40 hours in the game especially newcomers to the series but if it takes you 40 hours to get through the story then i think you're playing the wrong game.
~"I hope there's still much to do after the story"
"much to do"
"much to do"

Dood. The game has like NOTHING to do after you finish it. Post-game IS NOT where the game REALLY begins. It doesn't require you to spend literally thousand hours building your characters up to the point where you can finally beat Baal. There IS NOTHING TO DO AFTER YOU FINISH THE GAME, DOOD, TURN BACK NOW.
