refund through humble bundle, anyone have experience with it?

I recently got a switch, pre-ordered it for PC the day I saw it was available. Then I bought a switch, now I've played the demo on the switch and the PC is delayed another 4+ months, and the switch isn't a terrible platform, 4 months of this game is worth 20$ to me, but idk if it's worth 60 if I cant cancel/its a huge hassle to return a humble bundle game that I've activated on Steam.

Let me know if you have experience with this, otherwise I will update this post as I go through the process.

i havent gone through the process myself but it looks pretty straightforward. on steam you can refund preorders at any time before the release date, i dont imagine humble being much different. most youll probably have to explain is that you preordered the game under the promise it would be released 2 months ago, and that its just been delayed indefinitely. that shouldnt fall on you.

You might be out of luck since Steam only refund games that is bought directly from them and Humble Bundle don't refund key that has been redeemed .

Thats what I was worried about FangElon, I'll let everyone know. I'm hoping Humble bundle can redact the key. Who knows! If I have to wait 4 months to play it'll suck.. I might drop 60 on Switch version anyways.

Was pretty quick and painless. An hour after opening the ticket (on a friday after their business hours no-less) I got this in the email!

Now to decide if I want to go digital or physical... I cant believe its 20$ less to buy a physical copy of a game..

Hey thanks for this. I've opted to try a refund attempt there as well. I've opted to "be the change you want to see" and decided NISA doesn't deserve my money right now the way they've been doing things. I'll get it on sale.

I will say the only reason I refunded was because I bought myself a switch and downloaded the demo there. and then played the demo while at work, and realized it was much better to play in short bursts than BotW. I really want to support ports to the pc, I bought Crash Bandicoot Nsane trilogy to show my support (♥♥♥♥ Activision with a rake otherwise) and I will probably end up getting it on sale on the computer, but atm I found myself unable to wait to play past the demo limits.
