How is what I said like that at all?
I said in 3 and 4 they changed it, in DD2 and D5 they went back to the way it was before (i.e. in D1 and D2).
Do you even read the messages you are responding to or think about what you are typing?
"Disgaea 5 uses the Weapon Mastery system found in Disgaea D2 instead of Disgaea 3 or Disgaea 4's Weapon Forte system. There are individual damage resistances for each type of weapon in addition to the standard elemental resistances. Disgaea 5 also adds a Star element resistance. The Weapon Mastery system has been overhauled, as the max Weapon Mastery Level is now 100 instead of 255 like in previous games. There is now Armor Mastery, which increases as characters get hit by attacks. Armor Mastery grants stat bonuses to armor-slot equipment. Monster Weapons also have their own weapon mastery as well. "
So..... For Disgaea 5 you master each weapon up to level 100 instead of 255 and it is unclear if it helps as much as 255. And there is also armor and element mastery which sounds like ♥♥♥♥.
I read a few things on Disgaea 3 and 4 about unlocking weapon skills by mana and/or item world, that might be the thing you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about. With 255 levels, huge increases to damage and the skills carrying over from reincarnation to reincarnation the harder (one time)skill unlock doesn't matter as much as a nerf to base damage.
"With each level of weapon mastery, stat gain from the weapon is increased by 5%. Weapon Mastery for a weapon caps out at 255, with a bonus gain of 1275% (only in certain games with the Weapon Mastery system). The stat gains per each weapon level in Disgaea D2 is 3% compared to 5% in past games, maxing out at 765% bonus gain from a weapon."
What is the bonus damage from levels now with a max level of 100?
I assume this was directed at me but you just forgot to quote what you were responding to.
So from what you've said you haven't actually played D3 or D4 and are basing your amazing knowledge on information that doesn't even explain the actual differences.
The fact that you think that the only difference between the "Weapon Forté" and "Weapon Mastery" systems is simply a name change shows you don't know what the hell you're even talking about.
A damage nerf has absolutely nothing to do with anything I said. But even so, who cares? It's a completely different game you're comparing it to.
The bottom line is the changes to 3 and 4 were not good, this is obviously agreed upon by many since they went back to the way it was. If you'd played 3 and 4 you would know what I'm talking about and wouldn't have said the stupid stuff you did.
You should consider whether what you are saying is actually true and makes sense before you click that "Post Comment" button.
You ♥♥♥♥♥♥ yourself.
