Due to drastic changes in the netherworld, Laharl was unwillingly changed from a boy into a girl (Commonly known as Girl Laharl or Laharl-chan). The Gender Bender evility changes the gender of the character it's equip to. So Laharl-chan is changed into a boy, but this is only funtional with mechanics and aesthetically Laharl is still a girl.
