Item Assembly Questions
So I can't find much info about item assembly on google/steam. Heres a few questions about it that I am hoping to get answered before I tackle my first ever perfect item in D5.

1. I read that item assembly is essentially infinite, you gain uses every item king/god slain, is there any truth here.

2a. Assuming it does technically have many uses, are there hardcaps on how many of each bill can be passed?( Like can you only pass 3 movement bills)

2b. If there are caps per bill, how many of each bill type can I pass? Namely increased attack range, movement, counter, and critical chance(blah blah curry, i find that tedious so seeking alternatives)

3. Do I even need to pass more stat bills to perfect my item, or do they simply speed up the grind to reach the cap?

1. Yeah. And there are infinite floors. You should focus on boosting mov, jmp, etc. rather than stats, as the former can only be increased via assembly, and the latter will improve naturally as you increase training bonus (by slaying item world bosses, invaders, and mystery room dwellers).

2. None for stats, although there is a cap on how high they can go.

2b. Erf, too lazy to check, just pass the bills till you can't increase those anymore.

3. The latter.

Cool thanks for the info. Though I still want to know about how many MOV bills i can pass, to help me decide between barefoot x or trap as my base item.

Max is 3 MOV bills per item.

I'd personally suggest using either a Trap or the top rank Armor(Hercules's Armor) as your super item. While it is possible to increase core 0 stats(like ATK) to match non-0 stats, and thus make a Barefoot X match a Trap... it's adding more time and effort to the process that might not be worth the extra 2 Mov offered, depending on personal opinion.

Trap needs the least effort to max and gets 3 Mov after bills. Barefoot X needs somewhere along the lines of 1400+(seen claims of 2000!) training bonus to do what a Trap does in under 200, and you'll likely hit Floor 10,000 trying to get that training bonus done on the Barefoot.

The extra movement from several super Barefoot isn't often needed compared to use Traps, and should only matter compared to Hercs for the Item World itself, if you are running to the gate all the time.

.

I don't shy away from the extra effort, and have already begun grinding out my barefootx. Just wanna say theres a lot of missinformation in your post though. Trap has 1 MOV to start and barefoot has 4. I have been pushing floors and am up to just over 2k now and I have seen many floors where my chars with 3 vern thrusters(+9 MOV) could only cover 1/3 the map. Ideally I want to push for 25+ MOV.

I have played D1, D2 and D4 before this one, and in those games there was a MOV hardcap of 31 or 32 iirc, and it was so much easier to get to that cap then in D5. Its really odd to me that they make it so hard to get high amounts of MOV compared to previous titles. Now it seems you'd have to dedicate those precious evility slots to MOV if you want to hardcap it.

I'd say it because you're kinda meant to kill everything instead of rushing to the gate this time around. But yeah, you'll need to use movement evilities to cap your MOV.

theres no reason to do trap when hercules armor is just as easy and has 1 extra move.

Sorry about that, I must be too used to previous games, where Barefoot is 3 move base, and Trap is 0 base.
