What order should I play these games?
I really liked the look of the series so I bought it!

However, I can't exactly tell which entry to play first.
I tried to compare the release dates in hopes of figuring out the order but they were all released on Steam the same day.

Can someone help?

Steam release dates are useless. When i want to know more about a game, i usually go to wikipedia. For the Blackwell games, the Dave Gilbert article has a chronological list with release years ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Gilbert_%28game_designer%29#Games ). Then there is the Blackwell series article which has more info on each of the games ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackwell_%28series%29 ).

It is the order the games were released, is it the recommended order, though? I just want to make sure. Wiki says Unbound is a prequel to Legacy so maybe it should be the following?:

1. Unbound
2. Legacy
3. Convergence
4. Deception
5. Epiphany

Even Unbound being a prequel, the release order should be the recommended one. Legacy was written to be the first contact with the characters. And Unbound has a lot of reference for people that played the first game, and to prepare the ground for Convergence plot.
Playing out of release order has no advantage and would only detract from the experience.

There is a thing called Wikipedia if you can't navigate Google search.
In the Wadjet eye section, you can see the release dates of all their games.

Maybe do some research first before asking.
I get it if your research failed for some reason, then we are happy to help.
But lazy you didn't even try, pissing me off.
The ones i played so far are Legacy , Convergence , Deception im still playing deception. The way i wanna go with the order will be Convergence , Legacy , Deception , Epiphany , Unbound.

After i have played all of them then i will have my favorites and that would decide any future playthrough order.

Ps sorry i revived an older thread , wanted to leave a reply though and its a good thread and question.

Convergence is quite direct sequel to Unbound and would spoil half of its mystery.

Legacy starts with main character unaware of anything supernatural, so it is the best entry point for new players.
