Worker Drone Issues

I noticed all the sudden my worker drone population has plumeted from around 35 drones to 5 in the span of 20 minutes.

I have worker plants in all my sub bases, and hyper tubes linking them all.

I am not sure why the worker drones are not building new ones.

Make sure that one and only one worker plant is prioritized, otherwise the input materials will be spread out amongst all of them and none of them will be able to build anything. In fact, you can use just one worker plant for the entire planet once you upgrade it to level 2.

Thanks, I will leave the one in my main base and remove the ones in the satellite bases.

Thankfully my save has some time before the worker drone pocolypse.

It is totally possible to recover even when you have 2-3 of 35 drones and materials for at least 1 drone. Just set all material consumption priorities to 100% for building drones, turn off all unnesessary buildings. If you have not enough materials, you should turn on/off specific mines/factories manually till you get 5-6 drones.

Thanks! Yea its recovered. I added a hypertube station and storage depot right next to the worker plant as well for quick building. Also my assault drone fsctory is right there to, so works well.

I dont think so, think what triggered was a bit too much eexpansion at once, and too many worker plants.

I have the same problem but it is not a lack of resources. The factories have resources stockpiled, they just aren't producing workers.

Also they seem to have stopped delivering steel for some reason. This is late game, stage 5. it has halted all new building and deliveries to maintainence stations. O2 is at 44% so everything is catching fire. I think I'm screwed. This seems like a serious bug. it's not lack of resources, i have lots of everything.
