No ships being built.
I have built a shipyard and four ports, but shipyard won't build more than one ship and says "NEEDS PORT". Two ports are directly next to shipyard.. one on each side plus one extra on each side. I have many worker hubs extra and have less workers than hubs.

Shipyard pathing is determined when the structure is placed. If the ocean rises and opens up new water paths, it probably won't connect properly.
I have had shipyards connect after they were built, however there is a delay between pathfinding checks and I don't know how long it is.

Same issue... so just waiting?

it's likely the shipyard and/or the port has a small pod covered which lead to miss calculation of water ways. build a new one somewhere with relatively flat shorelines and see how it works.

Also be aware that with terraforming progress, the shorelines change pretty frequently. Ports/Shipyards need to tread this INCREDIBLY fine line of not being too far from the water (or they take damage) and not letting the water encroach too much (or they take damage), so you'll likely end up building/rebuilding these quite frequently.

agree. and that's why steep cliffs are the places for Ports and Shipyards.
