despite me having turned off my co2 factories.. and my planets temperature dropping..
my water level keeps increasing....

-it destroys my expensive colony... already 120 advanced mines, drone towers and factories have falled to the waves that now near 600m...

it also makes my roads disconected and plain bad.

You need 400 m of water level to progress terraforming. Melting all of the permafrost will get you about that without doing anything else, so any extra missions you performed with importing ice or ice comets will raise the water higher that the minimum needed.

Next time, consider not building in the flood plains.

i not build in flood plains was fine untiln450m...
but it keeps upping and upping 574m now and rising..

so the seas shallow up more and more of coasts..

i have not done any extta missions to import water.. I not know if mining ice to make food or increasimg the air pressure beond 300mbar rises it further?
(as i am adding nitrogen to increase to 1000mbar)

so what rises it.. and how to stop it rising

Did you get the new DLC? With it ice deposits and active ice mines will contribute to water level rise. To alleviate this, disable or deconstruct any Ice mines and build as many atmospheric humidifiers as possible. At least that's what patchnotes said. I, myself still see sealevel rise, but at a manageable rate. Only stuff I lose (on a very slow rate) is my seaports.
Anyways, you should plan for a contingency in case your terraforming effort goes awry.

On my latest run, I didn't build anything in floodable areas. I only built on dry land, including water extraction plants, and let the water rise up to me. Then, once that was done, I built harbors and started to exploit the flooded mines and research centers. Almost no building lost to water rising, and a very tightly knit base.

OK, I realized after posting this that it was of 0 help regarding your trouble, but I just thought it could be helpful for another approach. I tried to rise the water as high as I could, capturing all ice asteroids and even importing some, so I never sought to stop the flood.

ah found the solution....

water treatment plants and water packing plants...
-> they suck water out and lower it.. compensating for the ongoing rise...
and if it drops too much ill import another astroid...

i have a similar problem
water is about to hit the 2000m mark and i cannot stop it from rising , flooding more and more territory in the process

luckely for you I found the solution already : build water treatment plants and water packing plants... they lower the water level..

If you, like me, have an infinite ice deposit somewhere that will infinitely melt I have bad news.

i had multiple of those.. but as they flood they are destroyed.

You... used Infinite Ice Deposits? That does explain the TWO THOUSAND METER flooding. Meanwhile, I struggled to get to 1K.
