How do aquatic buildings work?
Not sure how the whole system is supposed to function.

Let's say I want to build mines on the water. I build a shipyard. I build a port. The shipyard builds ships. What happens next? Nothing seems to happen even when I have ships in port.

edit: got it. workers have to bring resources to the port, wherein the ships bring the resources to construction sites. ships then bring resources back to the port for pickup by workers. this means that ports must have access to the worker network, in turn requiring worker hubs and hyperloops

So the water level stops rising at some point?

The water level has a maximum. Yes. Everything above "Altitude 0" is safe. It's not explained properly in the game. 🤷‍♂️

You can press the "TAB" key to see the altitude where you cursor is.

I honestly think that a lot of people wouldn't need that DLC if the game would explain the "flooding" mechanics.

I'm not sure. Yeah, it will display a "Flood Zone" message. True.
