Map Icon Filters

I cannot see hardly anything on the map cause there's so much crap on the screen! How can I filter out icons I don't need to see at any particular moment? It seems like such an obvious feature I must be missing it.

Yes, I would also definitely need that!
Hardly see the resources for example. And I want to see, where are for example Chemicals. Where it is optimal to build. And I have to zoom out and try to spot the small icons on the map zoomed out view. Not very convenient. :-(

Update: specifically, for resources --> the best to view with F4 scanner lense. It's relative optimal to look for resources.

Thanks for updating your post! I was going to suggest using the Scanner Lens, which is new since launch, to find specific resources.

Is this still the best workaround? It's not possible to filter simple icons nor cycle through the same kind of factories?

This game is incredible... but... no Map Icon Filters is a real big problem :(
