Coordinate System is where?

So I have a silo to investigate in SA-9. Cool. But where are the coordinates or sector markers on the map? Is it something I might have accidentally toggled off, or is it in some corner I'm overlooking?

Zoom way out. You'll see the planet is divided into 6 sectors belting the equator, and three sectors on each pole. Look carefully and you'll see they have names. North Pole sectors are S1-3, equators S4-9, South Pole S10-12.

It's pretty irrelevant though. Continue the story by a bit and you'll be explained how to unlock new zones - more specifically, S9. They'll then drop a small green icon in that sector to show you exactly where the objective is.

Yeah, we can see the sectors, I have SA-9 open, and built a research outpost at the green icon abadoned site. Still the directive is not completed

it will take some time for your colonists to populate the base and research what is there. later, you should get a pop up with the results, and the directive completes.

In the current version of the game, holding Tab gives you height plus lat/long.
