Similarly, it seems that some facilities, especially drone workshops, seem to hang and not request components with idle drones and full factories nearby.
Rather than re-assigning themselves to duties that need drones, they're locked into "areas of responsibility," which are completely outside of your control.
If you do anything to muck up this magic, un-see-able chain, you just break the drones forever.
Sometimes they just break themselves.
It's a feature.
If you haven't spent 2 hours in yet, refund it until they fix the busted core mechanics of their game.
If the worker is ping-ponging between a specific building and stuck in a loop, it is certainly a bug! We're so sorry. The team is working on fixing these issues so that the game can work as intended. In the interim while we work, I've found and heard of a number of remedies that "force" the worker to "break" the loop: by turning off the electronics factory and then turning it on again, reloading your save, or - if blueprints and prioritizations are the issues - removing them (you'll get your resources refunded!)
Thank you for responding to my post. I'll try to remember to try the on/off solution with the factories if it happens again.
I noticed a decline in my water production and thus my food production. Couldnt figure out why, I had a lot of water mines, more than enough.
It would say "Production 20" and "potential production 80".
I then inspected my water mines and their outputs were full but no drone would pick it up and why wouldnt they?
Well because drones were stuck at various buildings. The worker hub would say that the Drone Load was 0% even tho it had A LOT of work to do and the drone was simply sitting at a building, not moving. Rebuilding the drone hub sometimes works, sometimes doesnt. Even when it works, ti will get stuck again after a while seemingly at random.
I had this behavior happen even when trying to build some buildings. Drones would deliver resources for that building and then get stuck there.
Anyway, all this led to my eventual base collapse as I wasnt able to recover from these issues or fix them in any way.
I have a save where i can still recover and i will load that when these issues will get fixed. Im not playing this game anymore until they fix these.
Currently the game is a big buggy mess. Pity, i like the game.
