What is this game Fandisc for?

I would say its a standalone expansion. Just a bunch more scenes, and Im pretty sure you can go full harem in it to.
Here is the description on VNDB: This is the fandisc for Boku to Koisuru Ponkotsu Akuma., featuring after stories for the five heroines, plus new routes for Rin, Aifa and Reika. There will also be a harem route!

does the denpasoft version of the fan disc work by itself or do I need to buy the base game from them also?

Works by itself
For steam
a new folder called " Fandisk" is created within the install folder.and all FD stuff is in there
you dont need the base VN to run it.. just clicking on the exe in the fandisk folder will start the FD..or simply clicking the Play button also works

The fandisk is all about Gome (The strange looking Whale). Yep. It's only about Gome. Nothing else of interest here, no sir. Gome, Gome, and more Gome. (At least that's what the Steam page leads you to believe). I guess that has some truth to it if you don't use the 5GB patch and just play.... whatever it is you want to call this 'fan-disk' in it's un-patched state.

Yeah i found out i had to download a patch to play the full game, but somewhere else. WTF? Seriously why could they not add that thing here too.
