Emissions are low, but temperature is still increasing!

I've drastically lowered the emissions of the world, both from managing industry and energy concerns, as well as using Artificial Trees to lower the ppm of CO2. Plus using Aerosal Emitters. However, even though the temperature decreased for a while, I'm at 2160 and for the past few turns the temperature has been ticking slowly upwards.

How is this happening? Could it be because the ppm is still rising even as emissions go down?

There is a lot of CO2 in the atmosphere so the temerature will still increase. Has the Amazon rainforest begun collapsing? Also have you used the reforestation project and biochar?

i have completed Reforestation in Latin America and South Asia. Biochar on and off. I think it's because my ppm is still high, plus the damn Methane being released by the melting Arctic. Is there any way to reduce the impact the Methane from the Arctic has?

I would go back and play again but I lost because North Africa decided Aerosals weren't cool anymore and started a nuclear war.

It is because your ppm is still high. Once the temperature is above 3 degrees I think you can't stop temperatures rising because of the melting artic. Plus at this point the amazon rainforest is collapsing so you lose a lot the forests which would reabsorb the CO2.
