Being their in house engine I would assume so.

I saw a take down animation in one of the videos and it reminded me of AVP 2010.

That and you can tell because the engine does something weird with trying to emulate ambient occlusion where it darkens the whole outline of a model and it glows for some reason. Exactly like AVP 2010 does.
The game pretty much looks like a touched-up version of Sniper Elite 5 and Resistance. So yes, Asura engine.

You're being real here. I'm thankful for each and every release that is not created in Unreal Slop 5.

I second, third, fourth, to a million this. That engine is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cancer.

UE4 already was, in my humble opinion. But it's only now with UE5 that the broad public discovers this.

anyone that thinks unreal engine is bad is just dumb even epic games had to publicly tell the game developers how to fix their own games

It's not inherently bad but all the practices adopted with it results in bad performance games unless Epic makes them.

The graphics look terrible just like all their other games. Imagine releasing something in 2025 with no DLSS, FSR or XESS.

Well, it's not the engine that's the problem it's the slow monopoly they are gaining on beloved franchises and the greedy developers who take the easy money instead of doing things the right way.

The engine is bad if so many devs don't manage to get their games optimized in it. I thought it was supposed to be such an easy engine for developers to use? Man, what a clown you are. Also maybe think about not supporting a possible engine monopoly on the market?

Damn, imagine a game with a sharp image in 2025. The only thing that looks "terrible" in their games are NPC animations. No amount of blur filter and cheap upscaled FPS from DLSS will prevent that. The environments look really pretty as usual.

The game does not need any up-scaling

The game works and performs totally fine with out it.. Game looks good as well.. sure might not be the best but it looks good enough and performs very good..

Look at the junk Unreal engine games are pushing out with needing to use up-scaling just to make the game kind of run ok.. balls to that.

100%. Any new Unreal Engine game needs some sort of upscaling because they run like ass and still stutter all the time. Then there is the fact that seemingly every UE4 and 5 game uses downsampled textures to save on performance, thus making TAA a requirement and thus nuking the entire image quality. It's all just a sloppy mess created by Nvidia and Epic and I'm so happy that Nvidia finally gets outcompeted and that Epic receives more and more criticism for their unoptimized trash engine. It's about time.
