Why Druids want to kill me?
I killed one patrol outside village to get the bow. I met mother jago and she told me where the castle is so I went there but every druid wants to kill me so I need to kill them. Is there a peaceful way?

If you sneak it is possible to get the book and recipe, you will need to find the key in the kitchen area, That opens a secret door where the fireplace is

Is it by design then? You need to sneak in ? There are so many though.......I am already in the castle but everyone got a treatment from.a cricketbat from me and lets just say that the druids wont be roaming forest again.....I just feel that I am missing out on some quests.

if you do jago's quests she gives you an item that makes the druids friendly
Druids are the enemy of all mankind it is your duty to purge them from this world! Seriously though, just kill them, it won't effect Mother Jago's opinion of you and it's almost impossible to sneak by, especially when you don't know the map or where anything is. There is only one spot she'll get mad at you for attacking them, and she'll explicitly tell you beforehand. As for the other stuff just keep exploring and read all the notes you pick up. I felt kinda lost, like I was missing stuff too, but eventually the pieces will start coming together, you just need to explore more. Anyway hope that helps.

This is only for the Speaking Cave, not for NPCs outside in Casterfell, and only during that mission.

To note:

If in a "Trespass" area all NPCs will be hostile if they spot you (which is the situation in the Castle, unless you can sneak/stealth kill your way through).

If not in a "Trespass" area all NPCs will notice you via the attention marker. White when they notice you, yellow when they start to feel threatened by you, red when you stay yellow for too long/get too close, meaning they are now hostile.

This is further effected by whether you have a weapon drawn or not in non-"Trespass" areas.

Following this is should become easier to tackle.

Ok I understand. Thanks
So tresspass areas will always aggro NPCs. Is there someone I should speak to in the castle or can I murder everyone if sneaking fails? Friend? Thanks.

Don't worry about murdering everyone as it makes no difference (other than a part of the closing titles; did you kill many or few), other than personal preference.

When killing people in a Trespass area that is its own zone (so the castle) there is no fear of worsening your position elsewhere. However, if it is a Trespass area within the "world" (eg some entrances to the Interface and the soldier camp within Wyndam village) then triggering the enemy will negatively effect you on that entire area (the OP of the other post you went to had an awful time as they basically made all of Wyndam hostile to them just by being spotted in that place amd can't revert it).

For example, if you kill loads pf the soldiers in Skethmore or the prison there Wyndham will still be friendly when you return. If you walk into the Interchange in Wyndham but are spotted going in then when you come back out the village soldiers remember and be hostile when you come back (this I am not 100% certain).

Save lots when experimenting 😉
