Telephone man ending

Hi

Yesterday I completed the game (for the first time) by destroying Oberon using the explosives. Once it was destroyed, all the leads apart from the Captain Sims one disappeared and so I won the game by getting on his helicopter, however I am curious to know why I wasn't (seemingly) also offered the telephone man's ending, since my understanding is that he also just requires for Oberon to be destroyed? Could I have still obtained the telephone man's ending by going back to the starting bunker?

Did you pass a telephone box on your way to Sims? He rings you up and tells you to come back to where you started.

Load a save from before entering the interchange to blow up Oberon. Once you've done that, head back the way you came, listen for a ringing phone on the left, answer it, then return to the starting bunker in Atomfall. 👍

Its really not worth it anyway. Its probably the worst ending out of the lot.

You can get that ending without ever picking up a ringing phone (except for picking it up in the starting bunker to end the game). You only need to destroy Oberon and head back to that original bunker.
