Did that plenty of times with a bow. Point was that you get caught once and forever more the entire village is hostile which I get but seems silly.
1. how do you get seen? you just turn right as you come outside and walk down the ramp out of the trespassing aria 2ft away
2. why are you killing him when all you need to do is walk/run down the ramp even if he did see you while you run you have about 5 seconds to move out of a trespassing zone before they attack. just move away from them
I left my bow behind and the game doesn't give a vault prompt over the fence. I always use the church side to access it. I jump over the fence and hears me and instantly goes hostile. I was at the end game so it didn't bother me so much but I feel for a lot of players it's a bit unfair for them to be locked out of the village because of that.
He usually spawns leaning on the fence right in front of the door. Only exception is if you're exiting from the interchange.
Technically I did a favor, got the quest for Garrow, got the info, let Garrow escape. Never talked to Sims before going through the interchange causing permanent hostilities in the village.
Garrow escaping doesn't affect their hostilities, I know it wasn't that.
