They are there, just hidden a bit within 'controls'.
TBH get used to this cuz the younger devs now grew up on console and cant wrap ther heads around left/right handed as there are no PS/XBox left/right handed controlers. It's all about stacking functions on button's . They don't get keyboards either. My advice get this:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/install
you can use this to map arrows to wasd. I was ripping my hair out playing Staulker2 cus even though I could remap ingame to arrow keys, to climb a ladder i had to use w/s as they were hard coded as secondary function on the key.
Solution map arrow keys to wasd in powertoys so game thinks yer using wasd and all's well. you just have to switch it on before playing game. I actually just leave it on as when not playing a game I never use the arrow keys.
OMG. Same here. I played Stalker 2 as well and have the same problem. Just as an aside, Loved the play of that game but I've hit three major bugs so far that have stopped progression on the main story line and I cant do it anymore until they work all the kinks out. To their credit they're steadily doing bug fixes but it's painful in the interim. I'll give powertoys a shot, you're right even when they include keybinding mapping, it's not always well implemented.
You can rebind just about every key from what I've seen.
Just remember there's multiple tabs for keybinds as well.
I don't have the game(yet). but that is good to know. It just has been a very commonplace issue in most new games- I have played.
You know what would be so much easier? Just play normally. Had you just started doing that years ago, wouldn't be an issue now.
I'm sorry but you're not the victim you think you are here.
You can rebind EVERYTHING. All contextual binds, all moves, shorcuts. The only way you are limited is rebinding on the same key in the same group. So for example, you cannot bind both heavy melee and aim/throw on the same button, but you can rebind all contextual prompts on the same button or same action or multiple buttons. There's also an option to automatically do the contextual prompt without pressing the button.
I have most likely played games before you got your first day at school.
And I have never used default key, ever.
Just take a look at the many professional players, they don't use default setup either.
What about disabled people playing PC games?
Do you even think before you spew out something you don't know anything about?
So, take a bit of humble pie and educate yourself.
Then show me how you rebind D and E.
I use QWES, not WASD.
If I am wrong, then I apologize, but E is, AFAIK hardcoded to the game.
Replied to you in other post. E is not harcoded. So far I found one hard coded button and that is to move in the inventory (Q and E) but you can rebind those too, but can't let it be blank. It also seems to bug out a bit if you mess with them, but if all you need is to rebind move and pick up you don't have to.
My E now opens inventory and I move in the inventory with Q and capslock
And in case of merge.
Thanks.
Yeah... There are "hardly any" lefties in the whole world huh... Maybe I should just conform like a little robot and join the mass of unthinking drones. The point is moot since it actually does have rebinding, my bad, but you should really reevaluate your thought processes and just try to separate yourself from the herd every once in a while,.. It can be quite liberating.
