The best way to think about it is if Metro and System Shock/Bioshock had a very British baby
its nothing like fallout
After fallout 76 was an odorous dumpster fire of bliblical proportion I'm itching for my fallout fix. After 100 play-thrus of FO4 I need something new.
Post apocalyptic - CHECK
Survival game - CHECK
Scarcity of resources - CHECK
Crafting - CHECK
First-person shooter - CHECK
Lots of items to scavenge and pick up - CHECK
Yep. Nothing like fallout. /facedesk
Liked your perspective, Thanks!
!:- WRONG. Its not post apocalyptic, its in an exclusion zone, the rest of the world is fine, so not like Fallout.
2:- Atomfall is a survival game, Fallout is not.
3:- Fallout does not have scarcity of resources, have you even played Fallout 4!!
4:- Loads of games have crafting, I guess that means Fallout is the same as Stardew Valley then seeing as they both have crafting!!
4:- Doom is a 1st person game, I guess that means Fallout and Doom are the same then!
5:- You can pick stuff up, I guess that means every game is the same as Fallout, lol!!
Atomfall is nothing like Fallout, you clearly have not played Fallout if you think that.
But no it isn't a Fallout replacement as it's super short and small in scope. It tries to be like a bunch of games and just ends up not doing anything particularly well. So don't go in expecting a Fallout experience even though you can see the influences Fallout had and you might find something to like about it. Personally as much as I appreciate the game, it has way too many issues for me to ever recommend it at full price.
You will likely be looking at beyond 2028 before that will see the light of day.
