Removed from Wishlist, no DLSS or any decent form of AA!
Just watched the Digital Foundry video on the game. The lack of DLSS, or any form or upscaling or decent anti-aliasing is just a literal gamebreaker! How you can you release such a great looking game art-wise, but have this HUGE blemish on it?!

I removed it from my wishlist. :(

Call me if DLSS get's added down the line. The game looks very interesting, but this image quality is just not acceptable in 2025. Conveniently, the issue doesn't really show in the trailer...

Good call

Very odd for a game in 2025 to not support either DLSS or FSR. What OP is referring to (the pixel crawling is terrible even at 4K): https://youtu.be/B3irKpQud2o?t=317

Here you have the best form of AA. It's called RENDER SCALE. No need for smearing, blurring crap like taa, dlss, etc. It is very refreshing that their engine is not plagued by this crap.

Not sure what you are talking about, because the game looks and performs great. So imo it doesn't need dlss/fsr unlike many games that does nowadays.
I have a 12700k, 5080, 32gb ddr5, game installed on a sata ssd and at 4k ultra settings with vsync on and hdr on I get 120 fps locked throughout the entire 10 hours I have played so far. That’s not bad for a game without dlss, because there are many games with my pc setup and at the same settings with dlss I can’t get 120 fps.

It doesn't look great. Performance is not really the issue, image quality is what I'm talking about. Don't confuse the topic with performance numbers. Just watch this video:

Ideally it would have those more advanced AA options to assist with the inherent pixel crawling issues the game has, as per the video I linked (around 5:15). This would both increase the IQ and performance, for even for high-end devices like your own.

The game's only AA method appears to be FXAA, which is as basic as it gets, and does nothing to improve the noticeable temporal instability caused by pixel crawling. Increasing the render scale past 100% won't really solve this either as it's a temporal issue, plus the performance cost would be significant.

The game does look good. Actually it looks great on my 65in led uhdtv, so looking at youtube video doesn't give you actual image quality because of youtube crap compression issues on every video.
Phaz Mar 26 @ 6:11pm
Dude, the video compression only smooths out shimmering and flickering, somewhat hiding the issue. That means it's worse IRL! If you don't notice the issue, you're probably just not used to what an actually good picture looks like. Maybe you always have excessive sharpening enabled on your TV and think that's normal.

Or whatever the reason; just watch the video by DF linked above. They are pretty much experts on this kind of stuff and they clearly mention and show the issue.

Am i wrong ? I thought DLSS and FSR is meant to make the games look sh8t but runs better on pcs
usually almost every game has AA just not hte DLSS/FSR stuff that devs use as a poor excuse to increase performance for shoddy ports

The best form of AA that destroys performance. I can have native 1440p at a nice 240fps, or a 6K upscale at less than 60fps, which STILL shimmers. No thanks. Give me that smooth TAA and DLSS.

Yeah I would've bought the game if it had DLSS. I watched some gameplay and the aliasing was so bad it was distracting.

Yes, you are wrong. DLSS, especially the newest version DLSS4, looks almost identical to native - and sometimes better.

Not to be that guy but, hell dude look at your specs. Of course it runs fine for you. I see posts like this on a lot of games "Runs fine for me on my near top of the line hardware." Yeah no ♥♥♥♥ lol.

I wish I had that kind of disposable income. But I dont have a dog in this race regardless.

Yo this game looks like butthole.

why do games need DLSS or any upscaling for that matter? .. I like those games, that means they aren't relying on it as a crutch like all the other devs..
