Classic British comedy and other references
I noticed in Wyndham's hardware store at least two visual references to classic British comedy. On the counter in the cage is a dead bird which is an obvious reference to Monty Python's Dead Parrot sketch. While over on the left on entering you see four candles next to fork handles a reference to The Two Ronnies Four Candles sketch.

Anyone else noticed anything else in the game?

If you're at the ambushed convoy you can see the Mr Bean car with the chair on top and a skeleton sitting in it holding a broomstick. It's on the hill
Must have missed that. There is also a mention by one of the villagers calling the captain Napoleon which is a reference to Captain Mainwaring in Dad's Army.

Actually I think that one was just a reference to Napoleon himself
Also forgot to mention that in Skethermore prison there is a note mentioning Prisoner Sixty a reference to Patrick McGoohan 's character Number Six in The Prisoner. Also the spitting plant found in Casterfell Forest is a reference to The Tryffids by John Wyndham.
There's also the thralls in Medical which have a very Are you my mummy from Doctor Who feel.

And on the eastern side of Skethermoor there's 3 skeletons in a bathtub with wheels on. Don't know what that is referencing
I forgot those. I was wondering if the thralls in medical was a reference to Stalker as they loosely resemble Snorks. Though going with the Dr Who theme the robots do sound a bit like Daleks and loosely resemble the Giant Robot from the fourth doctor (Tom Baker). The bathtub is a reference to Last of the Summer Wine with the original characters of Foggy, Compo and Clegg as in one episode the three of them ride in a bathtub down a hill.

I was wondering whether the Wyndham reference was to the author or the old secondary school in Egremont (now the more boring Westlakes Academy)

Probably the author, given the game has a triffid ...
There is so much in this game that would not be recognised by someone not from UK and who are fairly young. Some great design touches that unfortunately won't be picked up on by most players.

Sounds like something from Last of the Summer Wine although I can't say it definitely was.

Of course it could just be a reference to the nursery rhyme, rub-a-dub-dub, three men in a tub.
The sign outside the old hotel in Wyndham is styled like the sign from Fawlty Towers.

“I want some plugs!”

“Bathroom or sink?”

“13 amp!”

——————

“I want some ose!”

“Garden hose, car hose?”

“Letter 0’s!”

Just brilliant!!

I think I shall buy this game at once!

There's a Kilroy Meme on a wall hidden behind a bush - but not saying where.
One of the military stores has a Judge Dredd helmet and a Johnny Alpha helmet
