- Inventory is pretty restrictive, but as you find more pneumatic tubes and crafting supplies/recipes it will start to feel easier to handle
- As long as "Trespassing" isn't on your screen, you can avoid most enemies out in the world as long as you don't get too close to them. They'll just yell stuff like "easy friend, we don't need to draw blood here" and you can move past them.
- If by progression you are just referring to unlocking and leveling up skills on your character, it's directly tied to exploration (or trade). As you explore you find more and more of the "Training Stimulant" skill points in specially marked BARD boxes, or in some cases sitting in a little open case on a desk or something. And the skill books that you learn skills from you can find at traders and also hidden around the map. The story being good or not is subjective I suppose (I've liked it so far), but exploration feels quite enjoyable to me.
- You're right in that there is no fast travel, however as you open up the interchange more and more it links you up to every map. With the exception of the protocol interchange entry point, the others in my experience typically have almost nobody near them. So it makes for a handy short cut system. Though for Skethermoor it may be easier to use the Wyndham entry point. None of the maps are massive, so running across them feels like a non-issue to me.
- The game takes an estimated 15-25 hours to finish once. So I wouldn't really call that a grind.
Ah yes, I must be lying because some troll says so.
