If you go to the Options screen, then Game->Playstyle, you should be able to change the Exploration option to enable compass and waypoint markers, as well as enable navigation hints if you like. :)
I have had the same exact issue. I have reported this issue to the developers. I think it might have to do with the order you activate the 3 terminals. I went in the random order of C then B then A. I have read online that if you do it in A B C order is works, but at this point i was 9 hours into the game and my previous save was from 4 hours so yeah.
I also lost one of the main characters when she was attacked and killed by ghouls after dialog. not necessarily a bug but is annoying.
I found it refreshing to just play and get immersed in the game, and not be bothered with anything else. Unlike some other games of late...
So yeah, good point. Unfortunate that some do have bugs.
I hit this one as well. If you want to make a "figure things out on your own" type game that's great, but in games like that progression bugs will make you waste hours trying to figure out the secret to advancing. But the secret is that ♥♥♥♥♥ just broken. Up until this I had such high praise for this title, super sad.
