It takes place in Cumberland so not sure what London has to do with anything.
And no there was no fake nuclear accident in that area in the 60s so it's not lore accurate Britain

Not in "Cumberland" there wasn't :steamhappy: ;)

The Windscale Fire was the nuclear accident for those who fancy looking it up.

The Windscale fire of 10 October 1957 was the worst nuclear accident in the United Kingdom's history, and one of the worst in the world, ranked in severity at level 5 out of 7 on the International Nuclear Event Scale.[1] The fire was in Unit 1 of the two-pile Windscale site on the north-west coast of England in Cumberland (now Sellafield, Cumbria). The two graphite-moderated reactors, referred to at the time as "piles", had been built as part of the British post-war atomic bomb project. Windscale Pile No. 1 was operational in October 1950, followed by Pile No. 2 in June 1951.

The game is set around the Windscale Nuclear site in Cumberland which is modern day Sellafield in Cumbria, North West England

Cumberland and Westmorland were amalgamated into Cumbria in 1974.
In ww2 the HMS Cumberland was a heavy cruiser that turned just too late for the battle of the River Plate. Just so you know. :Spirit:

Thank you all for your kind words and enlightening discussion. I'm glad that we can come together in a civilized manner, the true British simulator was the discussion thread all along.
Fun facts
Sellafield is about 300 miles by road from London. In Britain this is considered quite a long way. Cumberland has a sausage named after it. Cumbria gave the world Kendal Mint Cake.
It's not the modern day. It's not in London.
