Anti Aliasing is weird (broken?)
First of all. The game itself makes a really cool first impression after 2 hours. However, I have to criticize the anti-aliasing here. It flickers like hell even on the Ultra setting with everything else on Ultra and in 4K. It gives the impression that although the option is switched on, it simply doesn't work. This is easy to see when you look into the distance. If you come out of the bunker and go down to the left, for example, and look into the distance, you can clearly see that everything further back flickers like hell. That ruins a lot of the immersion in my opinion. It also ruins the otherwise great first technical impression.

I've already watched a few other videos about it and you can see it everywhere. So it's not something that only happens to me. Now I have to ask myself, is it the engine? Is it simply a broken AA that needs to be repaired?

I think the game would benefit from a DLSS option. Incidentally, the more you lower the resolution, the worse it gets.

So don't get me wrong. It's not a gamebreaker. But it looks really really bad and I'm thinking about waiting until this is fixed. If it gets fixed. Because it's really ruining the experience for me at the moment.

No need for DLSS performance is good without it.. not noticed any AA issues myself but running AMD the other posts here suggest its possible an issue with NVIDIA cards.

DLSS Options help for the Probs ;)
It make the Look much much cleaner.
sub pixel shimmer on power lines, fences and foliage should be a thing of the past
really disappointing they dont support superior aa methods

I'm actually not that sensitive about AA. But it's really horrible here. It tingles and shimmers violently.
Ok Turn off AA in game and SET IT UP in Nvidia Control Panel on the game or on global and it should fix the problem.
Yeah it looks disgustingly aliased all the time, even on Ultra

turning the resolution scaling up over 100%. For me at 4k, 150% looks the best.

I think this will be fixed, and it seems like having a dlss option would possibly crisp some things up. Even on a high end pc everything turns to blur deep in the background once you start moving the mouse around. A most unfortunate mishap i hope.

You could try reshade and TFAA.

I was hoping they'd upgraded their AA but guess not
I suspect the AA is not applying to some objects in the scene.
Digital Foundry made a video on this game. TLDW this game is using an older AA technique. You don't see shimmering and flickering in modern games because temporal anti aliasing (TAA) gets rid of all of that. There's a weird anti-TAA cult going around saying that it's the worst thing ever because it blurs the image but older techniques (e.g. FXAA, SMAA, MSAA, SSAA) ALL suffer from flickering and shimmering in motion. DLSS, FSR, and XeSS also use temporal information to get rid of flickering.
There's a setting in the launcher for resolution scale and even after setting it to 200%, basically 2x super sample anti aliasing, I still get a lot of shimmering in foliage when walking through the world.
Edit:
Just tried out ReshadeTFAA like Drifter suggested. It actually does a decent job of stabilizing the image. If you're willing to go through the setup process I definitely recommend it for anyone who thinks the image is too flickery. There is still some pixel crawl but the image is so much easier on the eyes overall.

Thanks, will try the reshade method, as nothing else works in game or NVCP.
"even after setting it to 200%, basically 2x super sample anti aliasing"

Slight correction, that's actually 4x SSAA. (as that 200% is per axis)

Nice catch. Doubling each axis would quadruple pixel count.
