What apocalypse? It's more a `quarantine zone` like Chernobyl, than an apocalypse.
It's not open world, it's zones.
I'm enjoying this game as well.
I just can't find any similarities in the game-play to Fallout (or any other Bethesda title). Those games are more like RPGs, this game almost plays a bit like Dishonoured or even Bio-shock (1 / 2).

I'm playing right now. It is zones connected by loading. First zone Slatten Dale, then Skethermoor.
They are nice zones, and you are free to explore as you please, but it's not a seamless connected area like Stalker 2.
I also don't get any Farcry feelings from it...
I could maybe see comparisons to Metro Exodus with this game (smaller zones, but similar feel to exploration)
The look, however, the appearance of things, especially lights, furnishings and so on is more like Fallout than Stalker, even though the gameplay is reminiscent of the latter. Many of the plants, fungi, mosses and so on don't resemble either though, they have a Crysis feel to them.
I like it too,
but Fallout to me also includes some sim elements, attribute and skill systems, unlimited traverse (can go pretty much anywhere on map), and some sandbox aspects.
For kills in Atom Fall, you collect tokens, and then spend them on unlocking a "skill" when you have enough tokens collected. There is no levelling.
Given the criteria of `more-like`, yes, I agree. I just think comparing something to Fallout lends to comparing the game-play as well.
