XBox One Controller Problem

When loading into the game, the game doesn't detect the controller at all, I can only navigate by using keyboard controls and play with only keyboard controls. When I load the game up in big picture mode, the controller works (I want it to work without big picture but it'll have to suffice for now) Now the bigger problem is when Im trying to play the game. Navigating through the menu is fine, selecting characters is fine, but once I get to the battle. The game press all A, B, C buttons and press Diagonal back making the character crouch and hit all ABCD buttons leaving me stuck in place with no control. I verified integrity of games file, uninstalled the game and reinstalled, restarted my computer, and made sure my controller is up to date. Any suggestions for a fix?

Sorry this isn't helpful but just wanted to add in that I also get this sometimes too (though relaunching windows for me fixes it temporarily. Odd it doesn't work for you)

It's a pretty annoying bug that if this client continues to get updated to expand its lifespan with further content and or DLC characters I would hope it gets fixed in the future.


It probably won't work but when this occurs for you, have you tried restarting the game *without* the controller plugged to see if it still happens? Might be worth to throw out the possibility it's something related to your controller in your case.

Have you tried the standard way of fixing controller problems?

Steam -> "Insert game here" -> right click -> Preferences -> General -> Steam Input Per-Game Setting -> 'Forced Off'-> Restart Steam

This has helped me in a lot of games not recognizing my controller or just randomly inputting stuff.

Yeah, I tried restarting the game without the controller plugged in. The second I do plug it in then its starts to do the bug. I dont mind playing on keyboard, I just prefer the controller.

I haven't tried that actually! I'll see if it can be a temporary fixed/permanent fix for now.
