All Stages But Training Stage Lag (Even Offline)
I've been having a problem where all stages but training stage have had serious slowdown. My Specs are:
CPU: FX-6300
GPU: R9 270X
RAM: 8gb ddr3 1600MHz
Mobo: ASRock N68-GS4 FX
64 bit windows 10 home

Anyone else been having this issues? I've tried all possible setting combinations in game that the game allows and the issue persists.

I'm having basically the same issue and I haven't found any solution yet.

I too have the same issues, except for me it also lags on training stage, it just lags less. I think the 3D background are causing the lag, and I have no idea how to remove or replace the bgs. From what I gathered looking around, the previous version of this game (Under Night In-Birth EXE: Late) had a bg folder but this game doesn't have one. Very inconvenient. It's very weird. I was also thinking it might also be Windows 10 shenanigans, because ya know, Win 10 sucks.

I know this it's old but i found out that there is a file with all the stages. for some reason (i don't know if it's the same on steam version, there is a folder with all the files, in that folder there is a file called (or may not) "id" with a size of 137mb (or 134 to 140 in details) (if there are more than 1 you should search one with the same file or size since i didn't find another file with the same size) (there is a file a little more large, "143 in folder, and in details 139 in simple size and 146 on exact size")

READ: there are 2 things that you have to know about playing without stages that happened on Exe late. 1) Since story mode (now probably chronicle) use stage bg switch for story, if you play someones story you will play only first and last battle (also only first and last dialog happens). 2) Checked. In exe late if you do with Waldstein "Sturmangriff" since there wasn't a wall (there was only the invisible wall of the end) the move never ended and you get stuck there, in St this seems to be fixed, when the move reach the end of the stage the enemy sprite will move slowly to the wall (max 3 seconds) and the will proceed to hit, if this move is done when the enemy is already on wall it will take the same (or maybe 2 seconds more) but you won't see the enemy sprite move.
Since the previous things said this make probably and i can't think otherwise, network mode won't be playable since the loading files are not the same and Waldstein "special" situation. not sure what would happen if both don't use stages XD

Some AMD cards aren't supported for UNIST it kinda sucks just gotta wait for uniclr
