Local Versus
Story (Chronicles - text upon text visual novel style with voice acting for the real lore guy)
Tutorial (General game mechanics)
Mission (Character trials/combos/tips)
Score Attack Mode (maximize score for leaderboards)
Time Attack Mode (maximize time for leaderboards)
Survival Mode (Lifebar doesn't fully recover between opponents)
Training
You earn IP to unlock stuff through all of the above minus training mode, which is your basic illustrations, character colors, and online mode player card customization stuff.
Bias, but it's my favorite fighting game so just training mode and mission is enough for me. Worth. Game is easy to pick up, but there are definitely technical aspects so it's fun if you're a lab monster. The game allows you room to express yourself. Combo scaling works out that optimal combos aren't greatly outdamaging your more basic bread and butter combos. But if you hate ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hitboxes and oppressive presssure/okizeme, I'd stay offline.
