Search for friends ingame?

The recent update boasted an ability to add friends in-game and make parties. There is a feature where you can search for a username to add a friend. And yet, there is no virtual keyboard, or any way to type in it. Is this intentional? I feel like this is an oversight or something that just hasn't been implemented properly yet

Yes, this is frustratingly not fully implemented for Steam VR users just yet. Oculus Quest allows us to pop up the OS keyboard for Quest, but Steam does not allow the same for the Steam VR keyboard. :/

We are trying to figure out an elegant solution that will support localization and the full keymapping necessary. It frustrates us as well, and I am sorry for that in the meantime. I will discuss with the team some other options as well.

ah, thought that may be the case. I imagine it's very complicated to do, i was just curious as to whether you knew about it is all :)
