You can do this via SteamVR, OpenXR calls for this to be set by the user in their own bindings interface.
Since I'm curious though, specifically which joystick with what type of movement is throwing you off? As we also have a dynamic very slight deadzone logic I could further tweak for players like you.
Best,
The very slight touches on my controller stick as I move and aim seem to be what's causing it. I will check out the SteamVR settings for that and get back to you.
also have the Reverb G2 (V2), and have since the update to Unreal 5 a drift to the right.
Sweet, let me know if the SteamVR OpenXR binding options with deadzone setting etc. work ok for you.
Hey Alex, more specifically is it your virtual movement joystick, or virtual turn/virtual crouch joystick? And what is happening, you start sliding, turning, or crouching which is the issue?
It sounds like a hardware issue, but we can always work to make it better somehow with more info.
We wanted to avoid a blanket deadzone solution as it would take away fine control from players. Were you able to set a deadzone at your system level?
We can still consider slightly increasing it, but player movement is incredibly important in VAIL so we try to keep it pure.
Cheers,
