But yes, the same bugs related to rules, card effects, order of effects, are present in any game (solo, humans, or bots).
That might be awhile. The game has been out for 5 years and has been consistently going backwards over the past 18 months.
The entire code needs to be rewritten, and they are not willing to do that.
It's a disgusting business model - they rely on new sales from unsuspecting customers, combined with a very strict refund policy that makes it almost impossible to get a refund once people have played enough to realize all the problems.
Some can actually get a game started, btu then the game freezes, hangs, crashes, etc, before it is finishes. Desyncs, disconnects, etc.
Various rules errors and card effect errors continue to plague the game even if none of the above occur.
Anyone deciding whether to buy the game can read the reviews. they are overwhelmingly negative.
If you are looking to play online against fiends, you can google the following:
"Free Terraforming Mars Online".
I strongly suspect that might change in the next month. Given Unity's new pricing model, and the fact that TM has quite a hatedom, I could easily see those $0.20 per install losses adding up to more than the gross revenue of all of Asmodee.
I really hope that they do rewrite the code, or take Terraforming Mars down entirely, because I like to play physical board games from Asmodee, and I don't know if Unity will be interested in continuing to print them after the inevitable bankrupcy of Asmodee. Of course if the digital products are properly insulated in their own corporation, maybe it will only give them all the video games.
