They released a DLC of promo cards and broke the game - even for people who do not have the DLC. Because, they do not ever play-test their patches or DLC.
Then they release a patch to fix the broken discount cards.... AND THEY DID NOT PLAY-TEST THAT PATCH EITHER. And it does not work.
They are trolling their customers.
Steam blocks both of these links as potentially malicious :)
I'm confused by exactly what you're saying happened here. "Predators" was played gen 1 using Ecology experts? What was the target of the Predators card? Rarely does anyone have animals to eat that early.
I'm not clear on what you're saying with regard to "Ants" either. Are you saying Your Ants card kept eating non-existent ants? Or that an opponent's Ants card was doing that?
Sure, this is gonna cost some bucks (and this should come from somewhere). If that is not feasible anymore then at least make it available by open source means. That way people have the chance to fix it and the game could have a next iteration in life (and could serve as a bit of marketing for the real life board game).
There's also a highly functional version on Board Game Arena.
I checked out both options. They both look pretty good :-). I'm missing the AI players on both though. I like to play at any time to relax without having to wait on others or others having to wait on me.
I have to say that the UX on the version of Asmodee is a lot fancier (aside from the obviously anoying bugs, of course). So, I'll keep praying for some kind of sustainable solution on this version of the game.
