Bug after update
When I'm playing a discount card after the latest update, it doesn't work and is even displaying a 0 on the project card it self. Is anybody else experiencing the same?

Robots replicanti don't discount the cards You have put on them, and Yes: No bonus or discount on all the cards I have tried.
Yea this doesn't seem to work as intended still - When playing Valley Trust the discount on Research only seems to account for one tag, not both
This is hilarious.

They released a DLC of promo cards and broke the game - even for people who do not have the DLC. Because, they do not ever play-test their patches or DLC.

Then they release a patch to fix the broken discount cards.... AND THEY DID NOT PLAY-TEST THAT PATCH EITHER. And it does not work.

They are trolling their customers.
One of the bugs I found was with Ants: While initially my Thermophiles had a microbe, after that it didn't matter if there was a microbe to plunder or not, the Ants kept marching one by one (Hoorah). A possibly related issue of persistent permission was with Ecology Experts which allowed Predators to be played turn 1, but having used it for something else, Predators remained enabled for purchase for the rest of the game.

Hello everyone! I want to provide an update regarding some of the bugs reported in this thread, primarily the issues with discount cards not working. We pushed an update today intended to resolve these problems. The following fixes were implemented in our recent patch:
- Fix for cost reduction effects
- Fix for Manutech Corp. activating its effects twice
- Performance optimizations

We apologize for the inconvenience that was caused by these bugs and will continue to make improvements and deploy fixes as necessary. If you encounter any issues in the game, please don't hesitate to let us know by contacting our support team via Helpshift (https://asmodee.helpshift.com/hc/en/48-terraforming-mars/contact-us/) or Discord (https://discord.gg/dk6GFeZRVp).

Steam blocks both of these links as potentially malicious :)

I'm confused by exactly what you're saying happened here. "Predators" was played gen 1 using Ecology experts? What was the target of the Predators card? Rarely does anyone have animals to eat that early.

I'm not clear on what you're saying with regard to "Ants" either. Are you saying Your Ants card kept eating non-existent ants? Or that an opponent's Ants card was doing that?
Regarding the discount, this is working again by today. I can see it in a current game, that this was fixed.

Can the devs quit and go work at starbucks instead? they clearly lack the skills needed to develop this game. Ever since I started playing this game at v1.6 this game has been so full of bugs and errors I would rather uninstall it and play something else. It has been almost 2 years and there are still errors there that allow you to break the rules of this game. I really dont mind if someone loses their job other this.

Ok guys, release management can be hard. I'd love to help out and fix things. The game looks great and it used to work pretty ok. Their are some parts of the game that is a bit cranky. From my point of view it seems cleaning up some technical debt and adding some unit testing, from there it should be a breeze to fix the left over bugs.

Sure, this is gonna cost some bucks (and this should come from somewhere). If that is not feasible anymore then at least make it available by open source means. That way people have the chance to fix it and the game could have a next iteration in life (and could serve as a bit of marketing for the real life board game).

There exists a version of the game with al expansions and promo cards, very few bugs, if any, and I believe it is open-source.

There's also a highly functional version on Board Game Arena.

Thnx Aron,

I checked out both options. They both look pretty good :-). I'm missing the AI players on both though. I like to play at any time to relax without having to wait on others or others having to wait on me.

I have to say that the UX on the version of Asmodee is a lot fancier (aside from the obviously anoying bugs, of course). So, I'll keep praying for some kind of sustainable solution on this version of the game.
