how do i start playing?

so i have loaded up the game for the first time, and it has game board up. how do i start playing? nothing seems to be clickable except the pass option, but i have done anything yet, am i supposed to start the game by skipping my turn???

ok, so yes... i was supposed to click the pass button.... but now i have a similar issue. i am still working my way through the tutorial, and i am on the one that has you choose you corporation, and I am on the screen with the 10 free cards, and there is text saying select this card, but i can't tell which card it is talking about and none appear to respond to clicks.

I know these must sound like totally stupid troll level questions, but i really am clueless about this

So.... managed to stumble across the in-game console.... looks like my inability to proceed, has nothing to do with my ineptitude - this time. console is showing json parse invalid value errors. i am going to assume that's not supposed to happen. I will verify my files just to make sure, but there might be an issue with the epic version of the game

update: so i did the whole verify thing, but i cant tell if it found error or not. the verify operation zipped by really quickly, and i did nnot see anything downloaded. steam has also been acting this way of late.... not certain if i should be concerned or not. anyways.... was able to complete project card tutorial this time.

abother tutorial, more errors. thid time its a index was out of range - what ever that means. in the tutorial for additional actions
