I think they'd rather add "Venus", because it's easier to make than the rest of the additions.
Only new cards and tags. And 1 new resource.
Well, the most difficult thing is the scale of Venus and a place for cities on it (without this, the addition could have been done in a month).

We will terraform actual mars before they get a functional colonies expansion going. What a debacle that will be when they eventually release it (without play-testing it, of course. That's what the unpaid interns are for.

There may have been some confusion -

That particular night, I was highly irritated with asmodee and the programmers and developers (much more so than usual), so I wrote an angry rant filled with insults and expletives - and I assumed I would be permanently banned, which is why I said "goodbye forum, and good luck" or whatever I said.

("FrankJones" was banned for FAR less.)

Now, it seems they've stopped caring about vitriolic rants, or, more likely, they literally do not bother reading these at all anymore.

Colonies will never be added to this game. It is in the state of abandon-ware. The original developer is bankrupt (as they should be), no improvements will be made.

This is your private opinion. The facts are that 2 expansions have already been released. They don't fix many bugs, but they definitely won't miss out on the benefits of addon sales.
