Read this forum --- most of it is bug reports. This is a bad implementation of a great game.
I would say your report of this bug is hard to believe if there were not several years of history of similar things. At least you got the game free - still too expensive.
I'm sorry for your ill spent money :( Hopefully they will fix some major bugs with the dlc release to encourage people to buy it
Yeah I love the base game too! Have the full set each bought right after it was made. I guess TTS is an option if I really want to play online.
It seems epic has a 1.4 version, while steam is 1.515 for some reason. So we have a bunch of bugs that's supposedly resolved in the steam version. Plus epic games doesn't have any means of communication to the devs, so all of us are writing here.
Free Epic week meant I'd give it a shot, and if I liked it I would buy it for my wife and I. Nope. Old version with known bugs is what they give me to try? Guess my money stays away from Asmodee yet again.
The bug I noticed right away was the resource issue. Some turns I could not adjust the steel/titanium spending, some I could only go from 1 shy of my max resources to max to reduce the price (and overpay), and some turns it would behave normally. In a solo game I had to delay a turn many actions in the hopes that next turn it would work right.
Yeah, if I am desperate enough to not play the physical game then I'll program my own digital version. This version I tried to see if they were worth the money gave me a resounding answer - no to all their titles. I hope they choose some other studio for Project Ares and I doubt I'll give Asmodee Digital another chance (much like I won't give their board games a chance anymore).
What happens is that ALL of your platinum or iron will be spent, even if it's value is higher than the value of the card. I've lost platinum worth 16ME playing a single card. My brother lost half his starting resources when he played the corporation that starts with 20 iron (can't remember it's name).
You can see when this bug will trigger, since you won't be able to select the amount of iron/platinum you want to spend, the selection arrows will be blacked out.
I think there are also other placement bugs on the world map, that lets you place cities and other tiles on illegal locations.
I forgot to mention that this is for the version of the game that is on epic store.
This is bad and good in the same time. Something that bad must be fixed fast, right? Right?
