They got a lot of things wrong, but this one they got right. Selecting a corp of your choice isn't an option. I mean, yeah, if you have the board game, you can, but that's a house rile, so to speak. When playing solo mode on the board game, I sometimes just pick a corp before I see my cards (Which I believe adds to the challenge, since the starting ten cards might be terrible for that corp.)
But when playing the digital version, you get to see two corps, we per the rules.
The rules from the physical game state that you draw two corp cards and choose one, or start w/ a beginner corp
That's a good idea. Unfortunately, it might be a little while before such suggestions are considered. Right now they seem to have their hands full getting the rules and cards to work properly. I'm hoping they do eventually get around to making some game improvements once all that is taken care of. The overall game interface could use a lot of improvements in various areas.
I do agree with those who say this is beyond the rules, but I too would like to select the corporation for solo runs so one can get the hang of how a particular corporation works. That's something one can do in the physical board game even though the rules don't allow it.
It would just take a startup parameter as an override to specify the two corps that show up to choose from, then no big fuss (or straight up select the corp and skip that screen).
But this is definitely in the cateogry of enhancement vs. default game function.
