Resource Generation - Starting Out

i'm a new player having trouble understanding resource generation starting out (energy I understand). Could someone please explain? Thank you.

There are 6 core resources. Each has its own bank and production tracks. There is a production phase at the end of each generation where your production of each resource is added to it's respective bank. Power is special. Instead of pooling up in your bank, old power resources slide into heat. Mega credits is also special in that your teraforming rating also gets added to that bank. Simple squares on cards refer to resources. Brown box around a square refers to production. Red outline means other player.

Are you having trouble with the difference between resources and resource production? With what each resource does?

At the start of every generation, you get your production in every resource.

All unspent energy from the previous turn is converted to hear.

In addition to your money production bonus, you get your terraform rating in money income. Thus if your ME production is +5 and your terraform rating is 30, you get 35 ME.
