Bad reviews

Hi, I've been interested in TM since I saw the board game and now its a digital game so Im quite excited to play but the bad reviews are putting me off buying the game.

I'm pretty forgiving of bugs at launch but the developers communications are seemingly only one way, I dont see much interaction with them with the community (atleast in my quick look around) which in my experience makes them slower to address key issues.

Does anyone know if they are working on a patch to fix the issues causing the bad launch reviews? Because other than those it seems like a really deep and interesting game.

They have said they will fix some game breaking bugs and add drafting. They have said nothing about the UI which is the real problem. This should of been released with drafting and no bugs so addressing those is the bare minimum of what they should do.

Here is the issue, when you start playing you will realize the entire interface is designed with mobile in mind. This may not bother you enough to be off put from the game. If you have never played I feel like it would be hard to learn from the PC game as opposed to board game, but ymmv

I haven't seen a gamebreaking bug so far.
UI is... playable the most.
If you like the board game, you may play it. Otherwise just wait for some more patches fixing the most pressing points.

So, OP this guy says this in every thread. You can accuse me of the same thing, I say simalair things. The difference is you will see several other threads from users talking about game breaking bugs and disappointment with the game.

I never said don’t get it, TM is fun because TM is fun. If you have never played I think the UI will make learning MUCH more daunting when it should be the opposite

AI needs to be more challenging for a good single player experience. Log needs to show what event is played. Log needs to show what elections a player made on cards/abilities with choices. Players leaving/timing out needs to be handled better.

Wait until December + if you don't have anyone to play with, skip entirely. None of Asmodee's digital conversions have any mentionworthy AI.

While I don't care for the interface, once you get used to it, it is not to bad. I have yet to see a bug that is a show stopper. If you are looking for a TM fix this may fill the itch. Hopefully they will add the two boards, Venus and Prelude at some point. But if I know Asmodee they will grab the money and forget this app exists.

I've got the boardgame and I'm also enjoying this digital edition, very much.
Sure, it lacks some of the charm that the boardgame has (expansions, which may come out later and the draft) but it's a great game that is very fun to play, and it's got online gameplay also...

5 GAMES 2 completed 3 crashed out midway with hangs. 2 additional crashes on launch and I am running a sweet rig with upto date software..... Sad,

My game just crashed for the first time. Said I was disconnected. Then I could not close the client. I have to ctrl+alt+del task manager to close it finally. The disconnects are whats keeping me from playing the online part so far. I dont want to invest in a long game and get DC half way thru...cant rejoin... then get bad Karma!
