Black Screen

I recently purchased CS: Condition Zero from the Steam store through purchasing the CS: Complete pack, however whenever I start up Condition Zero the initial screen is displayed, then the screen turns black, however, should I happen to press buttons the sound is played for it being pressed (I'll assume that means that it works) and the music on the main screen still plays, If I exit to windows it then gives me an error message saying: "Counter-Strike: Condition Zero has stopped working" and the programme crashes, is there any way to fix this error?

delete it and reinstall
i bought the game too but ididn´t have this problem
maybe it is a hardware error? check your systemhardware maybe it is to bad for the game

i upped the graphics aND IT DID THIS I deleted and reinstalled and it didnt work still got black screen.

I have found a way to get rid of the black screen, it does however require you to install Linux onto your PC, however the game will work with no problems, but you will need to partition your hard disk (Give some storage to linux), If you feel like doing this you'll need a blank DVD or some sort of storage device to burn the files to, the link to the newest version of linux is as follows: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop You'll need to select the button that says "Ubuntu 13.04" and the help on the page should be enough to help you install linux.
