Report a translation problem
And searching for the mouse missing in the overlay, I found a solution:
Disable Mouse Pointer Trails:
Win+R
type:
main.cpl {hit enter)
Go to the Pointer Options Tab.
Uncheck:
Display pointer trails
This worked for me, restoring the missing cursor when the game was running.

PS - no idea how that stinking setting got enabled.
