Video settings

I changed my video settings to widescreen. And now whenever I start game, it opens in zoom in mode, I mean.. I see a close up of New Game, Multiplayer game and all other options. I click options from menu, but the screen is zoomed in, it shows Lambda, Cross hair.. and I cant see any other options ,I cant go to Video settings to reset it.

I tried these..
Removed game and reinstalled it. No change.
Right click Counter strike in Steam, properties, Set Launch ... typed... "-gl1024.. and all other but no change" typed "-autoconfig".. No change.

Please HELP !!

I had the same problem recently, I found a youtube video. The guy in the video said that You need to go to the Library, then right click at the game, find properties... Go to set launch options and type -w 800 -h 640
It worked for me.

go to hl.exe properties and change dpi settings in there.. otherwise disable window scaling in your windows display settings.
im also dont recommend playing old counter strike games in widescreen. the FOV scales vertically in CS instead of horizontally
