Old accounts having access on steam

So is their any communication on fixing the issue where old accounts cannot be used on the steam launcher? I see people wanting achievements and cards and such which would be awesome but for players like me that means we would have to restart and loose everything we have.

Even an option to transfer the account to the steam servers and remove it from the website ones making it so you can use it but not the website launcher would help.

So again is their any info on them wanting to fix this or try to fix this or do they just not care about us old players? being able to use steam would be so much easier for me when it comes to playing and even spending any money.

There is no issue to "fix" The developers decided NOT to implement an official option to merge a Steam account with an existing account (couldn't work it out with Steam). Wizard101 came to Steam in 2018 (6 years ago) and recently ported over their other game Pirate101 to Steam, as well with no option to merge an existing account. The developer still has no current plans to make this option available even after numerous threads before yours asking for it.

Devs did communicate. The dev response indicating there are no current plans to link old and Steam accounts:

This is the #1 requested feature I've seen, so i wish they would have implemented it. Starting over with a brand new account on Steam is only viable if you are going to use it as an alt account. Even then without Steam cards or achievements the only real reason to choose Steam would be Steam Deck or Steam currency. There are posts about how to manually use your old Wiz account within Steam, but it isn't the same as offering an account merge.

yea i found those ones but they say you have to do that every update and stuff so that was out of the question. Would you or anyone happen to know if you can add a steam wizard 101 acc to the family of one thats on the website for a cheaper monthly sub?

You unfortunately cannot connect a Steam to a family account linked to a regular version. I've tried. You can only connect a family of Steam-made accounts.
