Crown problem in wizard101

I hope the devs read this as I just want to say I love your game. I played it back when you had your own launcher. when I heard that this game was coming to steam i was so excited and im currently loving every single second of it. My problem is that you currently have no way to earn crowns outside of buying them or small ways I dont know of. What happened to the videos you could watch or the daily rewars and quests. I understand its a free to play game but in todays age your asking a little to much for people to pay a mounthly subscription to get all the areas or paying a large amount of money on a single area. your game has always been pay to play the story. the base games its self is like a demo almost and that isnt good for a free to play please fix this by adding some way to earn crowns with no money and some grind I understand you want to make money but i fear if this keeps up wizard101 will die rather quick as no one will want to pay so much money in a free to play game. The game is a subscription based MMORPG but the problem is that this game just shouldent be subscription based it was ok 5 years ago but today it isn. make the areas free keep the crown store or make the areas pay to enter but give us some decent reliable way to get free crowns cause as you may notice alot of people dont like this and will refuse to even play your game cause of this.I love this game I dont want it to die please dont let me or your player base down.

Edit: If your going to allow us to buy crowns please let us use are steam wallet was willing to spend $8 but i cant.

By default, the earn crowns feature in-game is disabled. You need to enable it through the settings. You can also go to their website Freekigames.com and do some quizzes. You can do ten a day and if you pass them all, you can get 100 crowns. However I am not sure if you can do those things on the Steam version.

You cannot view videos, but you can do trivia. And with the amount of time it takes to complete 10 of them, you might honestly be better off buying Crowns; it's ridiculous for how much content it unlocks.

Steam version removed the Earn Crowns via videos button. There is currently no way of turning this option on right now.

Glad to have you as part of the community! The video is indeed disabled at this time, though we are hoping to bring that option back up. We're trying to find as many ways as possible to allow new wizards to enjoy the game through this way.

i understand that there is trivia but that is for small spending goodluck trying to buy a area with 100 a day and spending all that time doing the trivia and i did some the other day and had no crowns in my acount i should of gotten 50. The trivia just isnt a good idea sure its nice to have its better then nothing but you get so little in return its not worth the time, I have a job and i life i cant spend half a hour a day doing trivia id rather play overwatch. thank you dev for replying glad to know you are listening to us :) what im trying to explain is that i feel for a free to play game locking the whole game dehind a pay wall is not good for the game or you 5 years ago when this came out this was ok cause games dident have standards but now they do. i want to play more of the story so badly but as much as i love this game a membership and buying large amounts of crowns isnt worth it to me. not a fan of subscriptions in general and id gladly spend money for crowns to help support you gys but not for a area that is behind a pay wall. i hope this post help you devs at all and will introduce somthing in the future to allow us to grind for crowns either as videos or daily rewards or challanges.

Or possibly instead of having a membership it should be a 1 time purchase or something. So instead of monthly pay you can pay like 60$ to just unlock the game. The crown shop will keep the steady income for future development. I just don't think this content paywall is smart. I can see how it might have 10 years ago but now people dont really wanna do that. I do understand its supposed to be like a constant income but i think if you make the whole game available either free or with a 40-60$ paywall to buy the game people will be more wanting to put money into the crown shop or something. Just a thought.

i couldent have agreed even more this i think is a great idea in my opinion. tho it wouldent but a free to play in this case but it currently isnt right now anyways. either have a reliable way to grind crowns (nothings easy make us work a littl e for it and if you dont want to work for it then we can just buy them). Just give us a flat price tag to buy the rest of the game and a few little goodies. Lastly just make the areas free and leave the crowns in as microtransactions and let that be your money maker. you have a huge player base but many do not want to pay 30+ for just one area when there are how many buyable areas? If this keeps up your player base will leave and this game will die there are many many other F2P games that dont have this pay wall and new games are being made every month. Please i live your game i played it so much as a kid dont let your game die a second time.

I agree with this too, but this (if you ask me) is why they wouldn't go that route because this would be far too convenient for them and since they've had the game as Pay-to-Play for this amount of time and people still paying for subscriptions/crowns there's not much reason for them to change the marketing around the game cause it's still bringing in the the big-bucks for em.

Plus let's be real here, games like this mostly just care about the money and since that's the idea, if you aren't throwing money at the developers/publishers etc. your chances of having any fun or any meaningful progression just go out the window, If you're a free to play player you might as well expect to be grinding at inhuman rates and have to work 1000x harder than your Pay-to-win counterparts which can get exclusive gear that only can be gotten in the crown shop/bundles/packs in a much faster time frame depending on how fat their wallets are and end up more op than you at times.
