Wizard101 - Everything you need to know about "Free to Play"

Wizard101 can be listed as a “Free to Play” game due to allowing players to earn crowns through watching ads and our playing games on their website. Each day you can earn upwards for 200 crowns. To progress in Wizard101 you need either crowns or a membership to play. The game requires you to go through zones to quest and progress to go to the next zone. Some zones costing 750 crowns at the lowest level areas and upwards of 1995 for the current areas that exclude dungeons. I added all the Areas up to be able to play the game undisturbed, costing around: 154,575 crowns (173390 crowns if you purchase the dungeons). So, what does this all mean? This means that to play the “Free to Play” game it is going to cost you the bare minimum of 154,575 crowns or equal to 773 days of watching ads and playing puzzle games. Now let’s go into why I put brackets around “Free to Play”. Kingsisle offers you a 30-day membership of Wizard101 for $10, this allows you to play the game for 30 days. You also have an option to buy crowns with real cash to buy areas permanently. Crowns come in bundles for 2500 crowns for $5 and up to 60,000 crowns for $80. Now this will cost you $220 to completely unlock the game as you play.

Now the problem with what I have is that Wizard101 follows a Pay2Win path for the best gear. Every now and then a new “pack” will be released which is a glorified lottery system where you pay for a low chance of a good outcome. Each pack costs 399 crowns or 299 crowns if it is a holiday themed pack.

Kingsisle doesn't want steam players to know the truth. Just wait for when this gets released and all the negative reviews it is going to have. The one thing kingsisle cant control is the reviews.

I dont think kingsisle is that stupid NOT to add more f2p elements with the steam release.
I think that they might make wiz city - mooshu f2p Because of the fact that they where the first worlds in the game and that it gives new players coming in from steam a chance to experice the nice aspects of the game.
When i was a f2p back like 6 years ago i thought the game was SO AMAZING doing kraken till i had to go to sleep etc., than i relised that there was more to the game than just the Kraken so i brought member ship and i LOVed the game even more.
IF KINGSISLE does not release more than wizard city this game is doomed on steam and when i mean Doomed i mean DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMEDDEDDDDDDDDDDDD
like so bad that aztecas comet will destroy the kingsisle headquarters and destory all the servers gg wizard101 you have done it again.
