I'm quite sure that Steam doesn't convert USD to EUR, they have the same value om here, sadly. It does bother me as well. There is no good reason for us Europeans to pay more than other players in the United States. Hopefully KI can somehow convert the different currencies with the correct rates.
Can I please pay 10 Venezuelan dollars per month then? :)
The "Earns Crown" option/button was removed in the Steam version.
It's not working in the client version either way, so that's a good choice. xD
Q: Why am I not able to get Wizard101 on Steam in my region?
A: Wizard101 on Steam is currently not available in some regions where Gameforge has the exclusive right to publish the game subject to a licensing agreement with KingsIsle. Gameforge has expressed an interest in making Wizard101 on Steam available in those regions, and we are hopeful that the game will be available there in the future.
Please visit {HIVATKOZÁS TÖRÖLVE}Gameforge's Wizard101 Website and click the "Select Country" drop-down option at the top of the page to review which languages the game currently supports. Exploring these pages will help you to get the game in those regions.
Yes, but this means that we will play on European servers and not the American ones... I have looked closely at the gamefoge site, ok on the existing worlds they are also coming to Empirya but the anniversary we are 2 years old to the original version of KI, which it makes me doubt that the updated version of Wizard City and many other things added like the Cursed Play gauntlet etc, are not yet in play in the version of Gameforge... we all know that Gameforge and teacher in bringing late updates, I do not know why and I do not care, I would like to play on your servers by ste...
You can also link it to Steam as an external game, this way you can use Steam overlay and some other features ingame.
I am not sure about paying for membership or crowns through Steam, I read something about buying gift cards with your Steam money and then using these on the homepage, but that might have been just a rumor (would be great if you could enlighten me on this @Sparck ;) ).
Yes, you can purchase gift cards with Steam money (Steam account). You are directed to the normal KI webpage for purchases, but it pulls from your Steam wallet rather than asking for credit card information.
We do the in-game charges on Steam with the "REAL DAILY VARIABLE EXCHANGE RATE"
Current time in Turkey as follows: $ 1USD = ₺6.37TL-TRY
2.500 Crown Price: $5.00USD = ₺31.85TL-TRY
1 Month Membership: $9.95USD = ₺63.38TL-TRY
When I want to take the crown from Steam, you can convert the above exchange rate to my local currency.
The amount of purchasing power in Turkey is far above a price as you can see.
Steam exchange rate is $1USD = ₺1.50TL-TRY
Based on the Steam exchange for Wizard101 purchases for each country:
1 Month Membership: $9.95USDx*₺1.50TL-TRY = ₺15TL-TRY
2.5000 Crowns: $5.00USDx*₺1.50TL-TRY = ₺7.5TL-TRY
We could buy the price.
Of course, when Steam raises the USD-TRY rate, they will increase.
Hopefully later in the day, we can purchase from our Steam wallet at Steam's own set rate.
I sent a ticket to the Steam Support Team on this.
In part of his answer he mentioned:
- !!** But Wizard101 is not a game developed by Valve. In games not developed by Valve, the game's Steam Store fee, sales promotions, in-game currency and similar features are determined by the developers of these games.
We are unable to pay due to the low value of our own money.
Please note that players using low-value currencies are eligible.
And, with different currencies based on the Steam rate, allow other countries to shop online.
Players using currencies such as EURO, GBP, etc. can get everything in the game by paying players.
This is injustice.
Thank you,
Best regards.
I was in the process of making an in-game purchase for Wizard101. However, it appears all in-game purchases are according to the US ($) dollar. To make a $9.95 purchase, it is requesting that I pay 62.25 Turkish Liras (according to my country's currency rate, that being Turkey). And, according to Turkey's economic standards, this is really expensive. Could you please explain to me why your in-game purchases are according to the current exchange rates rather than according to a country's purchasing power, in this case, Turkey's living standards? I believe that all of your users should be equal, and even if in-game items are to be sold according to the dollar, the system should have already automatically convert it to the Turkish lira and listed its price accordingly.
Please make your rates not according to the current exchange rates, but according to our country's economic standards. Us Turkish users really do not want to have to pay according to the current exchange rates as it is unfair and not at all according to our purchasing power.
Thank you,
Best Regards.
Hello there,
Thank you for your attention.
I hope I just mentioned above, it will soon be available via Steam.
