that would be no help either. he cant repair even if he had the material to do so because repairing happens from outside.
Select - build new ship from scratch.
select a location close to the station.
Build minimal ship (if possible).
Fly to the stricken ship.
Fix.
What other options do people think the game should give in No Airlock situations? I guess the obvious is "build more airlocks" as it less likely that they'll all be taken out at once.
This situation can be more frustrating during the early game, when the player may still only have one ship and other ships are simple, single airlock designs.
I can imagine, as the AI and game features improve, a "SoS" option might be available to get a tow to a friendly station.
Also even with I Hate Construction ON, once you made a new ship near the base, how is it going to contact the station to get crew for the empty ship when no one is commanding it?
OK the station crew can help you build? But how does you ship move near a station when you have no engines?
